Working with Recurring Events
Utilities -> Scheduler
Events in a recurrence are all linked together. If you open a recurring event, the system will ask you if you want to only open this single recurrent or the entire series. Opening and making changes to the series will make the changes to all events associated with this recurrence.
As a result, it is important to not edit a series if you have existing information that you want to retain that differs from the data in the event you are saving.
If you wish to make changes to a series without affecting prior data, you will likely want to end the existing recurrence and begin a new one.
You can easily stop a recurrence at a given date by selecting an event, then right-clicking and choosing End Recurrence Here. Note, this option will only display for recurring events:
Note: You can edit the description of an event in a series without affecting the remainder of the linked events by changing the description directly on the scheduler (as opposed to entering the event details form).
