Telehealth
Telehealth has become a major force in behavioral healthcare. But few EHRs are equipped to handle the special challenges of scheduling appointments across time zones, integrating video conferencing functionality, and meeting verification requirements.
Our EHR has a built-in telehealth service for mental health and substance abuse agencies. It gives you a ready-made method for interacting with your patients remotely using an internet-connected desktop, laptop, or other mobile device equipped with a webcam. We make it simple to set up telepsychiatry/telemedicine appointments, conduct sessions, access recordings, and keep records — all using the standard ClinicTracker interface you’ve come to know so well.
Telehealth is used for an actual clinical therapy session that is occurring over video conference. These sessions involve at least one patient with all participants connecting using unique links. The sessions can be recorded and become a part of the patient's record. The advantage of a telehealth session is that the event is more controlled with all participants known by the staff member(s) and all connecting via a unique link.
Public Conferences can be used when there are many participants. Although there does need to be a staff member hosting the event, the participants can be non ClinicTracker staff and/or patients. These sessions are not intended to replace clinical sessions and do not need to be tied to a patient record. Participants will join using a common link and the session can be recorded if needed. An example of when to use the Public Conferencing feature would be for group supervision. For more information, see Public Conferences.
