Installation/Deployment Requirements
You can install ClinicTracker in the hosting environment that suits you best: client/server, terminal services, or as a hosted application (SaaS). To make sure you're ready for the ClinicTracker Installation, please see the section below that fits how you want to deploy the system.
Client/Server or Clinic Hosted Terminal Services
You should first confirm that your hosting environment meets the minimum system requirements.
Server Installation:
We will handle the server installation for you, but first, you will need to have the following:
- SQL Server 2017 (any edition)
- Please note, we can install the free express edition if you don't already have it installed
- All ClinicTracker users will need to have access to the SQL Server
- JAG Support Account
- Full admin permissions to both the server and SQL instance
- Shared Files Directory
- Identify a directory where shared files (reports, templates, etc.) will reside
- We will install the necessary files to that directory
- All ClinicTracker users will need access to the directory and subdirectories
Client Installation:
We will place a file called ClinicTracker_Client.exe on your server. Run this file on each client machine to install ClinicTracker. During the installation process, you will be asked to specify an install path. To prevent problems, it should be a path that an average user can copy files into (e.g., not Program Files\ClinicTracker if UAC and other security is enabled). After completing the installation, ClinicTracker and BillingTracker icons will be placed on your desktop. You can then open ClinicTracker and set your Database Path Information.
