Editing an Event

To edit an existing event, double-click the corresponding entry on the schedule or right-click and choose Event Details. Make any necessary changes and click the OK button to save your modifications.

 

If you only need to modify the time (for non-recurring appointments), you can do so by dragging a cell to a different time slot. You can also highlight and event and then drag it to the top or bottom edges to extend the start or end time.

 

If you only want to modify the description, select a cell and press the F2 key. You can then change the description and press enter to save you changes. Note that if it is a recurring event, only the description for this one occurrence will change (creating an exception), not the entire series.

 

You can make additional modifications to events using a right-click context menu, including updating the Event Type or Show Time As attributes, or setting yourself as a linked staff member on the event.

 

You must have view and edit privileges for linked staff members to edit an event. You will not be able to edit an event if it is linked solely to staff that have granted you view privileges only. Placing your mouse over the event or double-clicking the event will display a message Insufficient Permissions to View Event. If you want to view all the details and make changes, ask the staff member to grant you View & Edit Permissions in their Staff Info Record.
