Scheduler Event Types

Utilities -> Scheduler

Event types are a basic classification you can use for your scheduled events. Administrative staff can configure them by going to:

Utilities -> Maintenance -> Scheduler Event Type Input.

In addition to naming your event types, you have three additional options:

  1. Color – The color that an event will display on the Scheduler.
  2. Duplicate Appointment Check – Often times you will want a warning not only if there is a direct conflict (e.g., double-booking a room, staff member, or patient), but also if a patient has multiple appointments booked on the same day. Select this option if you indeed want the system to check for multiple events for the same patient on the same day.
  3. Set as Default – The default event type that the Scheduler will select for new events. Double-click an entry and click the Set as Default button to configure these defaults.

  4. Suppress Reminder Calls - By default, a scheduled event will generate an appointment reminder (unless other factors dictate otherwise). This provides one way to prevent a reminder being sent for any event associated with the given Event Type.
