Linking an external contact to a Patient Contact record

Patients -> Patient Contact

 

Once you have created an external contact, you can link that contact to a specific Patient Contact record. For more information on linking external contacts, please see Linking an External Contact

 

  1. Patient -> Patient Contacts -> Double-click the appropriate contact record.
  2. Click on the External Contacts icon to the right-hand side of the form.
  3. If the External Contact is listed in the Associate External Contacts to Appointment form, place a checkmark by the name and Save.
  4. If you would like to add a new External Contact to the list, select the Manage External Contacts button, enter the contact details in the External Contact form and Save.

When scheduling an event in Scheduler, you will link only the primary patient. You can indicate that the secondary patient or external contact is involved by adjusting the description or notes.
