MESSAGING TO THE PATIENT PORTAL
There are two methods of composing a message to a patient on the Patient Portal:
- You can open your Unified Messaging System and click the Patient Portal Messages item on the left side. Then click in the upper left-hand corner to compose a new message. Once you select the Patient, you can select to send to the patient or any of their Authorized Representatives, compose your message, and then click the Send button.
- You can click the down arrow on the compose message icon in the upper right-hand corner of the My Messages widget on the Staff Dashboard. The popup menu will include an option for sending a Patient Portal Message. You can then follow the instructions as written above.
