Locking Records
Patient -> Patient Contacts -> Appointment tab
- Once you have entered the Appointment Record and completed the Progress Note, you should sign and lock the record.
- Each note template can be set up to optionally require a supervisor signature. This is set on the Options form, Formats Tab.
- Once all required signatures are entered, the record becomes locked. Neither the Appointment record nor the Progress Note may be modified by the user.
- However, as explained in the next section, there are ways around this restriction.
- If a supervisor signature area is displayed, but you don’t require one on a given record, you can select None Needed from the supervisor drop-down menu and then click the Sign button. This will allow you to lock the record without a supervisor signature.
Note: You will only be able to do this if the permission on your Staff Info record indicates that you do not require a supervisor signature.
