Collaterals

 

Patient -> Patient Contacts -> Collateral tab

 

The Collateral tab is where you can record any non-appointment activity a clinician performs that you wish to track. Typical items for this menu include: Phone Call, Email, Consultation, and Legal Activities. For more information on how to customize the information in the Collateral drop down box, please see Collateral Input

 

 

The Collateral tab has the following fields:

 

Field Name Field Description Additional Information
1. Date Collateral Date.  
2. Staff The staff member performing the collateral activity. A list of all active clinicians and supervisors
3. Service The collateral service being performed. Maintenance Item: Collateral
4. Duration The duration of the collateral activity.  
5. Program The Program related to the collateral activity.  
6. Payor The primary payor this collateral should be billed to. This will be a list of insurers set up on the Insurance tab of the current patient’s Demographics record. Only if selected in Options form
7. Notes Enter any notes about the collateral activity.  
8. Add Medication

A link to the ePrescribing system.

 
9. Signatures Once you have selected the staff member, click the Sign button and enter your password when prompted to digitally sign the record. Once a signed record is saved and closed, it becomes record-locked and cannot be easily edited. However, You will still be able to add additional signatures even when the record is locked without having to unlock or edit the locked record. Simply click on "Additional Signature" to add any staff signature as you normally would. 
10. Send Notification Send a notification through the Messaging System. The message will be linked to the current record.  
11. MH or CD Choose Mental Health or Chemical Dependency.  

 

Collateral Paperwork Notification

 

There is an icon on the bottom right corner of the Collateral tab of Patient Contacts to send a notification through the Messaging System. That message will be linked to the current record.
