Apply Compliance Rules to Existing Patients:
You can use the Compliance Batch Assignment function to manually apply a rule to all patients in your clinic or to a subgroup of them. This feature is especially helpful for new clinics who want to apply a rule or set of rules to a group of patients they have imported into the database.
Assigning rules to batches of patients involves two simple steps: 1) Identifying which patients you want to include; and 2) selecting the rule or rules you want to apply to them.
1. To get started, go to: Utilities -> Compliance Batch Assignment.
2. On the left panel you'll see that you can select the patients you want to involve. Those can be:
a. All patients (including those who have been discharged, if you check the box at the bottom)
Note: You always know it's a discharged patient because the system puts an asterisk next to the name.
b. A subset of patients you highlight in sequence with the Shift key or one at a time with the Control key
c. A patient group you've already established
d. A subset of that patient group that you select
3. On the right panel, select which rule or rules you want to apply:
a. Select an individual rule or use the shift or control keys to select a sequence of them or individual ones.
b. Select all the rules you've developed by checking "Select All Compliance Rules"
c. Include any duplicate rules that might exist by checking the box on the right. You might use this function if your rule would generate multiple of the same task, but you would like to generate just one.
4. Assign the rules by clicking on "Assign Compliances."
