Lab Integration

Medical -> Lab/Radiology Order Entry

 

If you have the Lab Integration feature enabled on your system, you will be able to send orders directly to the lab through ClinicTracker. The system will then automatically download the results from that lab order at scheduled intervals throughout the day and attach them to the appropriate order.

The Lab Order Form makes it easy to send/track and receive orders on one screen:

 

 

 

Field Name Field Description
1. Date Date of order.
2. Valid CPOE Place your cursor over this field for a full description.
3. Ordering Staff Ordering staff.
4. Order Type Type of order.
5. Facility Facility name. The facility must have an account ID configured in Utilities -> Maintenance -> Outside Provider Input: Lab.
6. Frequency Frequency of test. 
7. Status Status of test. 
8. Priority Priority of test.
9. Completed By Date When test should be completed by. 
10. Billable To

Clinic: Will send the agency's billing information to the lab. 

Patient: Will send the responsible party's information from the Demographics record to the lab.

Insurer: Will send all entered Insurance information (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) to lab.
11. Type

Standard: (specimen collected in office)

PSC: (specimen collected at a patient service center)
12. Tests Type of Tests. These test can be added easily by clicking on the icon or deleted by clicking on the icon. 
13. ICD(s) ICD code and description. The ICD's can be added by clicking on the icon or deleted by clicking on the icon. You can also click on this icon  to load from the Diagnosis Assignment.
14. Imported Results (HL7) Test results. 
15. Results Collected Date Date results were collected. 
16. Condition of Specimen Condition of specimen.
17. Specimen Source Source of specimen.
18. Information Information regarding condition and disposition of specimens that do not meet lab's criteria for acceptability.
19. Notes Notes. 
20. Vitals Click here to see vitals recorded at Medical -> Vitals. 
21. Link Documents Link documents to lab order record. 
22. No Imaging Results Available Check this box if no imaging results are available. 
23. Save Click here to save record.
 
24. New Click here to create a new record. 
25. Delete Click here to delete a record. 
26. Send To Lab Click here to send order to lab.
27. Map To Results Map to downloaded results from lab. 
28. View Import Information Click here to view import information.
29. Summary You will see all the lab orders and their status in this section.
