Managing Your Patient Portal

Get more done, faster, with fewer phone calls with Patient Portal

Introduction

Now that we've turned on the patient portal for you, it is time to set it up to simplify your tasks and to engage with your clients on their terms. Patients can self-register, schedule appointments and complete forms online. You can also message with patients and share agency announcements.

Setting Up Your Patient Portal

Posting a Note to Patients on the Portal 

 Options form > Patient Portal > General > My Account Page Description.  

You can post a note to your Portal Users, that will appear on the My Accounts Tab of their Portal. 


Creating a Patient Account

Access the Patient Portal Account Setup Screen by going to:

Demographics > Patient Portal Account button (lower right) or Quick Info Pane > Patient Portal Accounts (far right)

  • Enter the patient's email address, First and Last Names and for Relationship, select Self.
  • Under Access Level: select the Patient Portal Tabls the patient should be able to access and Save. 
  • Your patient will receive a verification email and set up their password.

Or you may provide your patients with the link to your Portal and they can sign up as a portal user.


Creating an Authorized User Account

You may wish to allow an authorized user to have access to a patient account through the Portal. This process would apply to parents of

minor children, and probation officers, just to name two.

Demographics > Patient Portal Account button (lower right) or Quick Info Pane > Patient Portal Accounts (far right)

  • Enter the Portal User's email address, First and Last Names and select Relationship, Authorized User.
  • Under Access Level: give access to the appropriate Patient Portal Tabs and Save.
  • The Portal User will receive a verification email and set up their password.

Viewing, Editing, and Disabling Portal Users 

Demographics > Patient Portal Account button > User Management button

  • All Portal Users will be listed in the bottom section.
  • Double-click on a Portal User.
  • Make your edits and Save.
