Using the Patient Dashboard
Use ClinicTracker's Patient Dashboard to review Patient Information all in one place.
About the Patient Dashboard
The Patient Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of patient information in one place, eliminating the need to search for forms and reports to access a patient's complete record.
Using the Patient Dashboard
To use the Patient Dashboard, go to Patients > Patient Dashboard.
- Click the Select Patient button to open the patient find form.
The Patient Dashboard will launch and display with Patient Information and Contact information sections as well as the tabs below:
- Phase
- Client Info
- Session Info
- Financial Info
- Compliance Info
- Patient Summary Info
- VItals
- Medical
Client Info
The Client Info tab contains five sections that include Basic Information which displays the Status, Case Type, Date Entered, Date Admitted, Patient Group, Intake Clinician, and Followup Clinician. This tab also includes the following information that is pulled from the Demographics form:
- Active Scheduling Groups section displays Scheduling Group assignments.
- Active Staff Assignments section displays enhanced caseload tracking.
- Active Program Assignments section displays program assignment information.
Session Info
The Session Info tab displays Patient Contacts Within Range (appointments and collaterals) within the selected date range. This tab will also display Scheduled Events Within Range with events scheduled for the patient within the selected date range. Click the View Details button will open the schedule and load the selected patient. You will be able to print a list of scheduled events by right-clicking on an event which will take you to View Scheduled Event Listing.
Financial Info
The Financial Info tab displays patient’s insurers, balance assignments, reduced fee eligibility, and credit balance. You also have the option to collect a patient copay from this tab (accessible to those with BillingTracker access only). Active Authorizations and Remaining Info displays active authorizations as well as the remaining number of sessions, hours, days, or claims left on the authorization.
Compliance Info
The Compliance Info tab displays open compliance items (items scheduled but not completed). The View Details button will navigate to the compliance module for the selected patient.
Patient Summary Info
The Patient Summary Info tab displays a list of the patient's Active Problems, Active Allergies, and Active Medications from the Patient Summary form. To view more details about a specific item, click the View Details button. Clicking this button will take you to the respective tab in the Patient Summary form for that particular patient. For instance, clicking View Details next to a problem will take you to the Problem tab, clicking it next to an allergy will take you to the Allergies tab, and clicking it next to a medication will take you to the Medication tab.
Vitals
The Vitals tab displays the height and weight information as entered in the Vital Tracking module. The left side of the form shows the data in a chart format and the right side shows the data graphically. The buttons underneath the chart data will allow you to display the information in report form or to view the chart for printing/saving. The View Details button will bring you directly to the Vital Tracking module.
Medical
The Medical tab displays Immunization History as entered in Medical > Immunizations. The Computerized Provider Order Entry displays lab/radiology order history as entered in Medical > Lab/Radiology Order Entry. The Patient-Specific Education Resources displays education resource history as entered in Medical > Patient Education Resources.
Additional Buttons
Additional buttons on the bottom of the form will allow you to navigate to various parts of the patient’s chart while leaving the Patient Dashboard form open.
Patient Photographs
- To add patient photographs from the Patient Dashboard, go to Patients > Patient Dashboard.
- Click the Add button above the photo area at the top of the form.
- You will then be prompted to locate an image file on disk. The image can be .bmp, .gif, .jpg, or .jpeg.
- Once the file is selected, a copy will be made in the server directory, and it will be stored in the patient’s Related Documents record. A thumbnail of the image will be displayed. Clicking on the thumbnail will show the full-size image.
- If you want to remove the image, click the Remove button above the image. Note that doing so will delete the image file off the server and remove it from the Related Documents record.
Checking Patient's in from the Patient Dashboard
- To check patients in from the Patient Dashboard, go to Patients > Patient Dashboard.
- Select the Patient.
- Click the Session Info tab.
- In the Scheduled Events within Range section, right-click the appropriate Scheduled Event and choose Check-In or Check-Out.

Configuring Patient Portal Account
- To configure Patient Portal accounts from the Patient Dashboard, go to Patients > Patient Dashboard.
- Click the Patient Portal button.
- Click Configure Account.
- Complete the Patient Portal Account Setup.
- Save.
