Use this feature to find available appointments for Insurance Authorizations.
About Searching Eligible Appointments for Authorizations
This feature is used to search through existing appointments in ClinicTracker to find an event for a selected authorization based on the parameters set for that authorization.
Search Eligible Appointments for Authorizations

To search for existing appointments, users with full access to Patient Contacts can go to Patients > Patient Contacts > Authorizations > Search for Eligible Appointments.

Select a patient.
- Select an appointment with a Showed Up status from the Treatment History section.
- Click the Binoculars next to the authorization textbox.
- Select an authorization from the Existing Authorizations section.
- Click on the Search for Eligible Appointments menu button at the top of the Authorizations form.
The Eligible Appointments for Update form loads and will default the Authorization Code and Revision from the previous screen and offer the criteria for:
- Date(defaulted to start/end date of authorization)
- Phase: All/Current
- Existing Authorization Code: Yes/No/Any
- Status: Any/Showed-Up/Any Status that Transitions without a Cancelation fee
- Adjust the search criteria to your liking and click the Search button.
- The search results will populate the list below and from there you can click the "Select" check box for the Eligible Appointment.
- Click the Apply Authorization button.
Note: You can add a Favorites list to this form by clicking the green plus sign in the bottom right corner of the screen. Click the Red minus sign to delete.
