Manage your Insurance Authorizations from Patient Demographics or Patient Contacts.

This help page will detail how to manage Insurance Authorizations and where to access them in the ClinicTracker software.

Managing Insurance Authorizations

  • To add Insurance Authorizations, an administrator can go to Patients > Patient Contacts > Billing Details > Authorizations > Click Binoculars or Patients > Demographics > Insurance Auths.
  • Select Payor.
  • Select the Start Date and End Date.
  • If this is an updated revision of an existing authorization, use the drop-down to select the revision number.
  • Enter the Authorization Code or check N/A. 
  • Enter either the Allowable Units for the Authorization, options include:
    • Number of sessions
    • Duration(In Hours)
    • Auth Days
    • Auth Claims
    • Auth Allowed Amount
  • Select the Services that are covered by this Authorization. You can also Quick-Select by Service Category to use a pre-defined list of services. 
  • If this authorization only covers services provided by a certain provider, use the Clinician drop-down to select the provider name.
  • Save.

 

Note: Users can also access Insurance Authorizations from the Actions menu in Patient Contacts.
