Patient Contacts Form Settings

 

  • Allow Intakes Access
  • Require Diagnosis
  • Capture Patient Signature: Do you want to collect patient signatures on Patient Contact records.

  • Hide GAF: If enabled, the GAF field on the Patient Contacts form will not display.

  • Prompt When Changing Appointment Date: If this option is enabled, a prompt will appear if a user attempts to change the date on an existing appointment record.
  • Require Supervisor: Require supervisor on individual and group appointment records.
  • Default to Primary Insurance: Default Patient Contact records to auto-select the patient's primary insurer, even when the patient has multiple insurers on record. Note: This setting will affect scheduled events as well.
  • Require Program (Col.): Check this to require program on Collateral records
  • Locking Restricts Meds: Should locking a progress note prevent the prescribing of additional medications.

  • Session # Prompt: Should the system prompt when a session number is missing for a kept appointment.
  • Session # is Required: Should the system require a session number for all kept appointments.
  • Auto-Increment Session Number for Group Appointments: Selecting this option will determine whether the Session Number is incremented when creating a Linked Individual Appointment for a Group Appointment.
  • Set Session Number Based on Authorization Usage: If this setting is enabled, when applying an authorization code, set the session number to one more than the number of times this authorization code has been used for this patient.
  • Group Info on Group Notes: Should the group information such as group name and group progress note be displayed on the printout available from the Group Appointment form.
  • Group Count on Group Notes: Should the number of patients attending group be shown along with the group note on the resulting individual progress note.
  • Prevent Signing Group Notes: Do you want to hide the sign buttons on the Group Appointment screen?
  • Prompt For Service Add-On: If this option is enabled, a prompt will appear if a user attempts to save a new appointment record without recording an add-on service.
  • Don't Allow Duplicate Services: Check for duplicate service/add-on codes when saving an appointment
  • Automatically Insert Authorization Codes for Individual Appointments On Focus Authorization Field (Primary Payor): Primary Payor: When placing focus in the Authorization Code field, automatically include an available valid Authorization Code.

  • Automatically Insert Authorization Code on Change of Status (Primary Payor): Primary Payor: Check this setting to prompt the user to insert the Authorization Code when: - No Authorization Code is entered - The status is changed to any status that transitions without a cancellation fee

  • Bypass Active Authorization Code Prompt (Primary Payor): Primary Payor: When an active authorization code is available, insert it directly, without prompting the user if they would like the code to be added. This impacts what occurs when the Authorization Code field is focused or Status is updated.

  • Block Saving Patient Contacts with Mismatched Authorization: Block (as opposed to prompt) when saving a Patient Contact with a Mismatched Authorization
  • Add-On Enforce Min/Max Times: Should service code add-ons enforce the minimum/maximum appointment times configured for the Service
  • Prompt for Future Dated Records: Do you want to display a prompt confirming when a Patient Contact is recorded for a future date.
  • Services - Display CPT First: The default setting is to show the service name followed by the CPT, for example: Psychiatric diagnostic interview examination (90801). Check this option to adjust the display to show as: 90801 (diagnostic interview examination).
  • Limit selection of Collateral Description to only list values (don't allow free-text)
  • Prompt For Duplicate Appointments on the Same Day: Do you want to display a prompt notifying when you are saving an appointment for the same day as an existing appointment.
  • Default GAF From Linked Group Appointments: When creating a Patient Contact from Group Appointments, enabling this setting will reference the most recent GAF record that exists for this patient.
  • Auto-Increment Session Number on Change of Status: Check this setting to Auto-Increment the Session Number when: - No Session Number is entered - The Status is changed to any status that transitions without a cancellation fee
  • Display Times in User's Time Zone: If enabled, this will translate all times to the user's personal time zone, as configured in their Scheduler Settings. Otherwise, all times are displayed in the agency time zone.
  • Do Not Apply Staff Event Defaults to Linked Appointments Created from Group Appointments: Checking this setting will prevent any staff defaults from being inserted into a linked appointment record that is being created based on a Group Appointment.
  • Prevent Overlapping Appointments (If Status is Showed Up): Prevent saving an appointment if the clinician already has a kept appointment that overlaps it. This only applies to appointments where Status is Showed Up. This does not apply to Group Appointments that are tied to the same group.
  • Remove the default "* SELF *" option from Payor dropdowns.: If this option is enabled, the "* SELF *" payor will not be an option in the Patient Contacts Appointment, Collateral, Scheduler Event Details, and Foster Home Placement dropdowns.
