Alert Checks

  • Check for Insurance Requalification Expiration: If this option is selected, ClinicTracker will scan the insurance requalification information from the Insurance Tab of Intake/Patient Info every time a patient record is accessed. If any requalification dates are within a week, an alert will be displayed.
  • Check for Expiring Insurance Authorizations: If this option is selected, ClinicTracker will scan the insurance authorization information every time a patient record is accessed. If any authorizations are near expiration (and have not been marked as Allowed to Lapse), an alert will be displayed. Additional settings determine what is considered to be nearing expiration. This is also used for color coding in the Insurance Authorization form. Any authorization nearing expiration (as determined by this setting), will be displayed in orange.
  • Prompt When Authorizations Expire Within This Number of Days: Enter the number of days to scan ahead (e.g. include any authorization that expires in 7 days or less).
  • Prompt When Authorizations Expire Within This Number of Units: Enter the number of remaining units (e.g. include any authorization that has 2 or fewer hours remaining, or 2 or fewer sessions remaining).
  • Prompt When Authorizations Expire Within This Allowed Amount ($): Enter the number of remaining dollars.
  • Prompt When Patient Has no Authorization: Display a warning when accessing a client tagged as patient who has no authorization entered
  • Patient Portal Account Creation: Select an option for whether to never, always, or prompt to create a Patient Portal Account when saving a Demographic record for a patient without an account.
  • Display the Dismiss Button in Note Prompt Screen: Checking this option will display the dismiss button when displaying a Patient Note or Global Note prompt.
  • Require Specific Services for Authorization: Checking this option will require at least one specific Authorized Service in the list when saving Insurance Authorizations.
  • Display Extra Confirmation Prompt when Deleting Records: When this setting is enabled, an additional confirmation prompt will display, which requires the user to enter text prior to deleting various records. This may help with unintentional record deletions. Currently, this applies to the following records: Demographics, Patient Contacts, Scheduled Events, and Custom Forms.
