ERA Settings

  • Enable 835: Enable the 835 ERA features within BillingTracker
  • 835 Archive Days To Keep In Live Tables: Fully-imported files older than this number of days will be moved to archival storage. Archived data will not be included in general searches, but will be available when searching for a specific file. Any archived file can be unarchived if necessary. Leave blank for no archival. You cannot archive data less than 60 days old.
  • Highlight Allowed Amount Mismatches: Show a highlight if distribution from 835 payment + updated payor balance is not equal to the claim allowed amount.
  • Apply Adjustments to Secondary Payments: Apply adjustments (regular and non-balance-affecting) for payments recorded from non-primary payors.
  • Prompt for Files in Remit Directory: When accessing the ERA form, prompt if there are files located in the Remit directory
  • Maximum Items to Display: The maximum number of line items that can be navigated to in a single display. Helps prevent overload of system resources.
  • Payor Groups
  • Email address to notify when new ERA files are available: When ERA files are automatically downloaded by the Maintenance Utility and placed into the Remit folder, a summary of the results will be emailed to this address. You may add more than one email address by separating each address with a comma.

  • Default Billing Note Type: Will apply the selected note type to automatically generated detailed billing notes. Automatic Detailed Billing Notes must be enabled.
